Welcome to a new year, which means newly engaged couples. Congrats! Red Bricks has a great year planned ahead of them with some exciting weddings already booked along with some other fun and exciting sessions that I see looking ahead. I hope everyone had wonderful holidays and have a prosperous new year. Happy 2013 to all previous clients and new clients to be this coming year.

I enjoy seeing families and little ones coming into the studio. This is one reason I am a photographer as I love to see the smiles (and tears) from not just the children but mom and dad too. I think family sessions remind the parents of the love they have for their family, even when mom is cleaning off her child’s face and dad is behind me making funny noises to get the child to look at the camera. Mental picture?! Right now I am booking for Red Bricks Photography, a summer picnic or tea party session for June and July. These sessions are only $50 for the sitting fee and the minimum order is only $200! Look on our facebook page for a sample portrait as well as other discounts throughout the year.

Red Bricks Photography is more than just a portrait studio. To highlight what other photography events we cover here are a few portraits from the last couple of months. We took part in a great bridal show with the Dayton Event Connection that Red Bricks Photography also belongs too. This year we also went to an event called Baby Baby Boom Boom that was focused on babies, if you could not figure that out! This spring I also assisted a friend of mine that setup a gallery with some of her henna art and I took some portraits for her to display. As this was days before I had my own baby I also took part in a henna session for her to display some maternity henna art. It was the first time I had henna art done and it was a blast! Speaking of parties, I have photographed many of birthday parties for babies age one on up to the Golden years, Silver anniversaries and more. If there is ever a need for business portraits, we are the place to go to, or we come to you! In the past we have done environmental portraits as well as group portraits. If you need a few commercial portraits done for your business I enjoy the subject change every so often. This spring for the second time assisted Miamisburg Vision Care with some advertisement for the eye doctors. Again I photographed my favorite local choir, the Madrigals who are part of the Miamisburg high school. Call and talk to us for your next event or business portraits. 937-689-1123

“How lucky can one guy be…” – Dean Martin

Wow what a year so far, I believe I am seeing white wedding dresses in my dreams. Here is a start to our year of weddings and engagements. In the next couple of months there will be more to come as I seem to be photographing a wedding almost every weekend. Such a sweet time for two people in love. I seem to notice a pattern, many of the portraits that I photograph brings smiles and tears to the ones photographed along with family and friends. Now off to get ready for a wedding this weekend!

A Legacy of Love

The winter season is always an interesting time for portraits. You would think that you just get Christmas portraits, but throughout December you get some fun request. One of them being a brave group of girls showing off there football pride. But I also find the time to have some time to myself with my little lady, Luci for her holiday portraits and time to visit the hospital for a brand new baby. Not only does the studio, Red Bricks Photography offer newborn collections but I also photograph hospital birthing sessions. Of course this is a tasteful session as you can see from the few portraits of the newbie, Emrys. Little boys can be so much fun, or ornery when being photographed. Luckily all these little guys were wonderful, I just hope my new little guy, Leo that will be born here very shortly will be on the fun side like these little tikes and his sister Luci! It is always important to not forge t the family and the dog when it comes to getting portraits done, as they are all moments you don’t want to forget.

The Dayton Event Connection

During the month of Febuary Red Bricks provided a small booth at the The Dayton Event Connection, in Dayton. Such a wonderful group we have joined and partnered up with! If you are getting married and need more assistance with finding your vendors, talk to me and we will get you setup with them to find the other important people you will need the day of your wedding, even to schedule your honeymoon!

Operation Love ReUnited

Nothing warms my heart more than the Operation Love ReUnited sessions that I do. This is just what I needed this winter too. Not only did I do both of these sessions almost back to back, I also found out what a small world it is. Either one of the families knew each other except for the two soldiers training and deploying together. When the second one came in for their deployment session I told them I just did an Operation Love session a few days ago and found out they were leaving the same time. At that point is when it connected they were from the same unit, but one living locally in Miamisburg and the other in Hamilton. These findings are always so amazing to me so I decided I would pass this story on! I am glad to have such a faithful cliental out there to of picked Red Bricks Photography as there studio choice out of all their choices on the Operation Love ReUnited website.

New year…How it has been so far.

As we are already getting to the end of January I finally set down to say Happy New Year to everyone! I hope the first month of January has been treating you well. If you are in Ohio the weather isn’t to bad for January. Lets hope that stays that way! I would like to let everyone know (if not already!) that I am expecting my second child at the end of February! My husband David and I will be having a boy, Leo. So my 20 month old Luci will be a big sister. It will be a busy place around here to say the least. We are also doing “studio” work to keep this historic home going for many more years, so that is keeping me busy too. In the last few months I have painted a wall for a backdrop and just recently I went a little nutty and had some fun with a few new items for the studio. I look forward to hearing from everyone, ready to get my bebe collection families back in and see how the little ones have grown and much more!

Greetings loved ones, lets take a journey
